Chloé is a French fashion house founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, Parisian designer born in Egypt, with Jacques Lenoir.
In the 50’s the creative couple broke the rules of formal fashion, creating soft deluxe romantic and daring clothes.
The fashion house owes its name to Aghion, fascinated by the refined sound of the word Chloe, is famous for its luxury pret-a-porter collections.
Gaby Aghion presents her first successful collection at “Café de Flore”, quickly becoming a big name in the Fashion business, appreciated by international celebrities such as Grace Kelly and Brigitte Bardot.
Chloé expanded its production to leather accessories, collaborates with famous designers such as Carlos Rodriguez, Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo and Hannah MacGibbon, the current creative director.
Clean lines, rich fabrics, ladylike and retro taste, for wool coats and silk jacket, golden English broiderie illuminated with crystal points, satin and silk ruffled blouses, shantung silk dresses with animal prints.
Sandals with teak soles and alligator leather flats.
Handbags collections are very popular; bon ton clutches, pop-style shopping bag, the Paraty Bag, made of fine leather and buffalo python, or multicolour fabrics, black and aqua green, cream and purple shades.
