Philosophy

Walter Steiger is a footwear brand for men and women, founded by the homonym designer.

He is son of a shoemaker specializing skiing shoes; he traveled around Europe, Geneva, Paris and London, to experience in the footwear industry.

He created shoes for Mary Quant, Antonioni’s movie, until his designs became universally known, published by Vogue, Harper's and Queen.

He designed his first collection in 1967, meanwhile worked with designers such as Ungaro, Chloe and Calvin Klein.

Walter Steiger’s style is known for his focus on geometric heels and craftsmanship with a futuristic twist.

Low and high heels are often rounded; leathers are caracterized with geometric patterns, stripes, or perforated.

High plateau, super flat designs or wedges, each Walter Steiger creation is for an ironic women who loves to show up and looking for different and original proposals.

The men's footwear aim to eccentric elegance lovers; Steiger mixes crocodile leathers and canvas, using particular details.

Lace up and moccasins are also proposed in several classic colours such as brown and blue.

Walter Steiger also produces handbags and clutches: bowling bag in crocodile leather and Swarovski.

Based in Ferrara, Walter Steiger produces his luxury footwear in Venice, selling them worldwide.
