Philosophy
Umit Benan is a brand of prêt-a-porter for men, designed by the rebel fashion designer of Turkish origin who has spent his life between Europe and America.
Benan preservs in his memory, travelers' postcards, architectures and atmospheres of each place he visited, which draws to define his clothes for mysterious man.
The young emerging designer worked for famous brands such as Marc Jacobs and Pollini, before founding his own label in 2009.
He proposes garments for men far from the age of eternal youth, a deluxe rocker bohemian with a cosmopolitan view of life, who loves tailor embroidered suits with a mood vaguely folk and urban.
Natural fabrics such as cottons creased, fine wool and cashmere, pure linen, silk and leather worked in order to create garments, above the classical taste; the traditional "Turkish style" coat-dress, jackets embellished with narrow and rounded lapels and high waist baggy trousers.
