Philosophy

Giorgio Brato è un brand italiano di pelletteria di lusso e capispalla in pelle lavati per uomo e donna, nato nel 2001 da Giorgio Braschi, stilista bolognese che impara l'arte della lavorazione delle pelli dalla sua famiglia e inizia la carriera producendo giubbini tecnici da moto per altri marchi.

Il nome del brand deriva dalle origini istriane dei nonni che trasferitisi in Italia cambiano il loro cognome Bratovich in Braschi, ma il giovane designer conosciuto da tutti come “Brato” trasferisce il proprio dna al nuovo marchio.

Giorgio si discosta ben presto dalla visione stereotipata delle giacche da moto e delle lavorazioni classiche che lasciano  troppo rigidi i pellami. Decide di applicare al materiale che preferisce la complicata tecnica del “tinto in capo”, dove ogni creazione viene colorata a mano ed è diversa delle altre. Le sue creazioni sono caratterizzate da un'insolita morbidezza che non altera l'anima ruvida della pelle.

Le proposte sono realizzate all'insegna della raffinatezza e della sperimentazione: vanno dai giubbotti in nappa col collo di lana "tinte in capo" o "stone washed" agli stivali, anfibi e polacchini in vitello, bufalo e gomma. Dalle giacche con cerniere dorate alla soffice guanteria, dalle borse tracolla in agnello ai borsoni in cocco, nei colori neutri, inchiostro, nero e verde militare.

Oggi Giorgio Brato è simbolo internazionale di artigianato made in Italy dal gusto vintage e cosmopolita. I suoi capi dal design moderno e "unconventional" si distinguono per le lavorazioni, i trattamenti e le conce vegetali, per l'aspetto "vissuto" finale, per la cura dei dettagli, per le linee affisolate e per la vestibilità impeccabile, come indossare una seconda pelle.
