Philosophy

Zimmermann is an australian accessories, swim and ready to wear fashion label for women, characterised by sophisticated femininity, clever colour combinations and delicate original prints.

Founded as a ready to wear line in 1991 by sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann, the label soon expanded into swimwear and won an immediate, loyal following among Australia’s tastemakers and trendsetters by being one of the first brands to fuse swimwear with fashion, becoming a poolside favourite.

The blending together of flattering, sexy silhouettes with bold color allowed Zimmermann’s sculptural designs and one-pieces to become the new point of reference for haute swimwear, while its ready to wear collection took their signature style from the beach to the streets.

Zimmermann’s focus on quality fabrics and a carefree yet sophisticated aesthetic, perfect for the modern jet-setter and smart, sartorially savvy women with an eye for quality and clever cutting.

Label extensions have seen the launch of Zimmermann swim separates, kids and accessories, truly making it a lifestyle destination.

In Australia and abroad, the label receives extensive and enthusiastic editorial coverage and has graced the pages of magazines including Vogue, Harpers Bazaar and Marie Claire.

The collections are stocked in stores internationally including the iconic Barney's, Saks 5th Avenue, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
