Sachin+Babi is women's ready-to-wear label known for using exquisite textiles with intricate hand work, resulting in a polished glam style.
In the early 1990s, husband-and-wife design team Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia met while studying textiles and fashion design at New York City Fashion Institute of Technology.
Over the last two decades, Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia have been developing embroidery and appliqué concepts for some of the world’s most influential designers, such as Valentino, Oscar de la Renta and Saint Laurent, helping them to give life to their creative visions.
In 2009, they realized their own dream of designing a classic-meets-contemporary collection that expresses their creativity and their cultural heritage.
Focusing on elaborate details, expertise in embroidery, rich textures and prints and luxurious Italian fabrics, Sachin+Babi contemporary collection translates the unique aesthetic of their native India.
The line is a unique blend of refined clothing that women want to wear: top, floral dresses, skirts and soft sweaters combined with classic fabric and luxury finishing.
In only a few years the collection is sold in over 300 doors around the world, including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman and Holt Renfrew.
