Philosophy

Holubar is an American outerwear brand for men and women that offers jackets, parkas and other alpine equipment, innovative and patented products with a high reputation in the mountaineering and in the urban scene, complemented by modern materials and lovely details.

The company was founded by Roy and Alice Holubar in 1946 in Boulder, Colorado and began informally its business with the sale of down-filled sleeping bags and expanding then the offering to parkas, backpacks and climbing pitons.

From the beginning the founders put a focus on practical designs and on the style aspect to create the first truly tasteful outdoor clothing: the brand is able to meet the tastes of a young audience, blending together quality content, functionality and technical excellence with a contemporary look.

The brand quickly imposed its presence on the market, initially in Colorado and then throughout the United States for the excellent quality of its products and a pioneering approach to a great number of technical innovations as the use of nylon, the first use of Vibram soles to boots and down insulated clothing conceived to accelerate the drying process.

In the ‘80s the Holubar virtually disappeared from the apparel scene, but today it is part of a relaunching project by the european market.
