Philosophy
Uel Camilo is a Brazilian brand of clothing, specializing in ultra glam evening gowns, founded in Milan in 2007.
The brand’s philosophy focuses on his passion for women, sophisticated elegance and love for fine fabrics, proposing luxury collections, where haute-couture becomes prêt-à-porter and traditional tailoring turns into contemporary demi-couture.
The designer was born in Brazil in 1985; he grew up with his mother and grandmother, which were seamstresses, so he has soon discovered her passion for tailoring and his strong aesthetic attitude.
After studying at St. Paul School of Fine Arts, he started his apprentice in a fashion atelier; here, he has been soon involved on haute couture designs and bridal wear, for customers of Brazilian high society.
Uel’s deep love for Italy, its colors, flavors and fragrances, and his deep admiration for Valentino, mark his future career; the designer’s poetics allows him to design luxury creations, starting from the fabric processing, to arrive at the realization on mannequins.
Today Camilo boasts two prestigious offices in Milan, but also an important sales department in Italy, Russia, Middle East and Europe.
The designer is a skilful master of Italian know-how, proposing demi-couture, red-carpet creations and cocktail dresses with an high tailoring value, where simplicity and elegance are well-balanced.
High quality materials, tailoring and contemporary design which blend sophisticated Made in Italy; Uel Camilo leads a cutting-edge brand interpreting craftsmanship, luxury and elegance.
For example, the black silk lace enrich plain bases and the ton-sur-ton is used for feminine jumpsuits, dresses, full skirts, rigorous sheath dresses, lace blouses matched to classic trousers or pencil skirts.
