3.1 Phillip Lim

Philosophy

3.1 Phillip Lim is an American brand of clothing and accessories for men and women, inspired by the Dadaist style.

Phillip Lim collections have always drawn inspiration from a sculptural and bold style, where the clothes are manipulated according to geometries; the result is a look that mixes rhythmic elements and sophisticated streetstyle details.

Fabrics are folded, cut and processed creating asymmetries and imbalances; this multifaceted style reinterprets both sporty and chic elements.

The brand’s underground audience wears jackets, ripped jeans, and suits, with light references to the 90’s  and grunge culture; not surprisingly the idea of designer is to mix current and past trends.

Fabrics mix, Dadaist cut-up technique, kaleidoscopic scraps, trousers and jeans featuring flashy and monochrome colors, including black, white, raspberry, blue, turquoise, ivory, camo and rust.

Patchwork effect, floral prints, leather trim and chiffon inserts distinguish collections.
