Marco de Vincenzo

Philosophy

Marco De Vincenzo is a womenswear prêt-à-porter label characterized by graphic, multidimensional and surreal creations.

Born in 1978, the young designer from Messina moved to Rome when he was just 18yo to study at Istituto Europeo di Design and, after graduating, he started his career at Fendi where he worked for 13 years developping a passion for luxurious materials, like fur and leather, sourced from small artisanal workshops around Italy.
In 2009 he launched his own eponymous brand in Paris, becoming one of Italy’s most exciting new talents: his innovative silhouettes crafted from opulent materials caught the eye of Italian Vogue editor Franca Sozzani, who awarded him first place in Who Is On Next? competition.
Since then, De Vincenzo has shown in Milan unpredictable looks, oscillating between extravagant decorativeness and minimalism: his collections are characterised by geometric patterns and clean shapes, laser-cutting, 3d effects, embroidery and metallic embellishment putting great emphasis on slim silhouettes so as to accentuate the sensual femininity of the modern lady.
In 2014 he entered into a joint venture with the LVMH group to further develop his brand.
