Philosophy
Cacharel is a French brand of ready-to-wear and accessories for men, women and children, also known for its fragrances.
The fashion house was founded by Jean Bousquet in Nîmes in 1962; the designer began his career creating tailor dresses for ladies and soon he launched Cacharel, as the traditional Camargue baby duck.
The fashion house reached a great success thanks its simple and fresh style, a romantic feminine and refined allure, the use of seersucker and Art Nouveau patterns.
The magazine Elle contributed to the success of Chacharel, creating a cover in seersucker, with a refined floral print.
Since 1970, the label has diversified its proposal range with eyewear, lingerie and swimwear.
Today Cédric Charlier, former Lanvin designer, is the creative director of the fashion house; he creates a modern dress up style with soft and fluid lines, where waist is subtly revealed by a seams play.
Dress-shirts, jackets and outerwear, suits, t-shirts, trousers, shorts and skirts are part of the Cacharel wardrobe, which explores the colour palette using acidic tones of orange and pink, and replaces the iconic patterns with small flowers, abstract and evanescent prints, inspired by the American Kim Gordon.
