Carolina Herrera

Philosophy

Carolina Herrera creates prêt a porter, couture dresses and also bridal ; fashion house was founded in New York in 1981 by the homonymous designer, born in Caracas, also known as Marchioness of Torre Casa, for having married the Vanity Fair editor Reinaldo Herrera Guevara, taking this nobility title.

In 2008, the designer launched "CH Carolina Herrera" that joins the first main line.

Elegance is the key word in the Herrera collections, for the modern lady who wears casual luxurious blazers, suits, pencil skirts, billowing trousers and cocktail chic dresses.

The brand offers timeless, simple and essential garments which explore gracefully femininity, inspired by the glitz of the eighteenth century and oriental kimono designs.

Carolina Herrera adds a touch of Parisian charm and Asian style to haute couture and precious fabrics, giving life to clothes, evening gowns, minidresses: silk or jacquard suits, embroidered with complicated origami processes; cotton Korean shirts are characterized by “zen” flowery patterns, aikido skirts, and the elegant gowns seem to be made of porcelain.
