Philosophy
Erdem Moralioglu, Erdem's creative director, was born in Canada by Turkish father and English mother; he grown up with a real obsession for the British culture, spending his holidays in Istanbul.
The designer completed his studies at the Royal College of Art in London and then he moved to the "Big Apple" where he worked at Diane von Furstenberg.
Erdem won the Fashion Fringe Award in 2005, and the same year he made his debut proposing a stylish clothing collection that has immediately won over celebrities and first ladies as Michelle Obama; the collections mix pseudo-harmonic romantic contamination, 3D floral patterns fine fabrics, lace and rock moods.
The designer, who loves contradictions, military uniforms and colours, characterizes his clothes with vibrant silk, sinuous cuts but tight at the same time.
Long satin skirts follow the body’s movement; they reveal an old-fashioned grace but, at the same time, they embrace a modern style, made of wool hooded coats, three-dimensional embroideries, waistcoat, blouses and fit shirts.
