Dr. Martens

Philosophy

Dr. Martens proposes footwear for men and women; the brand is famous worldwide for its original and aggressive boots, made of leather with a rubber sole.

Dr Martens was created in 1960 by a British company; at the beginning of ‘900 it was known for production of shoes for workers and soldiers.

Then the company bought the patent of boots with amortized soles invented by the German Dr. Klaus Maertens, which inspired the brand’s name.

In the 60’s boots became popular among UK young people; Dr. Martens, sold with eight, ten or three eyelets, with yellow stitching and back flap, became the shoe symbol of London rebel subcultures as  punk, skinhead, ska, dark and metalheads.

Today Dr. Martens boots are available in the classic cherry colour and also fluo, metallic, camo, with floral prints, laminated, in contrast with the rubber sole.

The boots is also available in different heights or designs: lace-up, with buckles, sandals and sneakers with simple or reinforced rounded tip.
