Philosophy
Sacai is a Japanese brand of clothing for men and women, founded in 1999 by Rei Kawakubo, the famous Japanese fashion designer who founded Comme des Garcons.
Refined materials give rise to a dressed up elegant designs, made of plain garments which do not really are what they seem with their apparent optical illusions.
Far from the fickle fashion trends, the Creative Director Chitose Abe creates for the brand Sacai a minimal-chic wardrobe, mixing sporty and military inspirations, masculine and feminine details, with an extensive use of grays and blacks.
Among disguises and transparencies, the brand creates coats, jackets, sweaters and basic cardigans, shorts, biker shorts, even wool ponchos, skirts and tight trousers, mini dresses and jumpsuits.
