Philosophy
Nina Ricci is a French fashion house that creates pret-a-porter, accessories and fragrances for women.
The brand was founded in Paris by designer Maria Nina Ricci and his son Robert in 1932, CEO of the company.
Maria Nina was born in Turin, then she moved to Monte Carlo becoming popular for her romantic womenswear collections.
Today Peter Copping, who previously works at Marc Jacobs, leads Nina Ricci fashion house, creating refined and elegant line: he breaks away from the fashion concept of Olivier Theyskens, his predecessor, who spent five years as artistic director of the fashion house.
Black, illuminated by bold shades, is the dominant colour in Copping collections, who focuses on experimentation, innovation and overlaps.
Black dominates on coats, "school girl" skirts matched with sweaters, classical cut suits with seductive slits, tight leggings, soft trousers, long peplum dresses, sexy suits worn with bustier, couture dresses with floral prints.
Nina Ricci wedges seem architecture works; they make the silhouette thinner that is balanced thanks to straight and padded shoulders.
High heels sandals and flats match bags, belts and refined accessories.
