Philosophy
The Milan-based brand Maurizio Pecoraro creates ready-to-wear.
The Sicilian fashion designer, after his studies at Istituto Marangoni in Milan, launched his own brand in 1998 after working for the best fashion companies such as Thierry Mugler and Gianni Versace.
Collections, very popular among celebrities, propose a sartorial elegance, away from the established fashion rules; plain and feminine garments mix classy and sporty taste, a romantic and vaguely retro mood with typical elements of a modern luxury.
His contemporary diva reveals a gipsy approach, and she prefers glamorous and sophisticated outfit, wearing never vulgar items but refined garments made of precious fabrics, in a chic color palette ranging from baby blue to taupe and black.
Inspiration comes from art and cultures: the wardrobe is enriched by references of the art of Rothko, American Indians, Swinging London and urban style.
Maurizio Pecoraro offers lightweight clothes with plain lines and vertical drapes, made of georgette and crepe de chine, embellished with sequins and macro chiffon flowers.
Outerwear, coats, jackets, knitwear, wool and lace cardigan with collar and cuffs made of Mongolian fur and shorts.
Ethnic atmosphere from Morocco, Algeria and Tangiers. Colors are stolen from spices: paprika, saffron, carnelian, amethyst, bark, ebony, cardinal, sand, gold and white. Flowers are printed or embroidered.
These these are the key elements of dresses, tops, skirts and pants by Maurizio Pecoraro.
As regards fabrics, the brand proposes canvas, bourette melange, satin, linen, bourette lamé, stretch cotton, lurex, jacquard, fleece, cotton, georgette, crepe de chine, and printed viscose.
