Philosophy

The famous British designer, from Sunderland, Gareth Pugh, designs ready-to-wear for men and women.

He has been considered a fashion enfant prodige, who is able to imagine a dark and androgynous sensuality, in opposition with the buttery curves and classic femininity.

After the bachelor's degree in 2003, Gareth worked at Révillon (famous fashion house, specializing in fur) as Rick Owens’ assistant, who allowed him to acquire the basic leather crafts.

In 2004, the magazine “Dazed and Confused" celebrated him in a legendary photo shooting.

Known as the “Mad Prince of Fashion”, Pugh proposes a cyber gothic style and dark romanticism; because of his androgynous concept of womenswear, during his shows both women and men walk together on the catwalk.

The aesthetics of Pugh is made of the absence of color (black and gray); dresses have particular cuts, geometric shapes and unusual materials such as fox, PVC, latex and laminated fabrics, chiffon and jersey for evening proposals.

Armor leather jackets, sharp and angular lines, unisex suits, leggings, blazers with herringbone effects, sexy mini-dresses, monastic unbuttoned trench coats and short biker jackets, winged hats, clothes covered of fibrous fabrics like cobwebs, replicated on ankle boots.
