The homonymous Italian designer Francesco Scognamiglio took his first steps in fashion collaborating with international fashion maison like Versace.
In 1998, the designer opens an atelier in Pompeii, his hometown, and two years later he made his debut with his haute couture collection that reminded the 80’s and The Circle club
In 2005 Scognamiglio met Madonna who chose few designs for a photoshooting in Los Angeles; this meeting consecrates the designer to the international success.
Star is the main brand’s symbol; Scognamiglio declines it in gold, as a glitter detail on the model’s body, chains or metal straps.
The designer expresses himself in creations and elaborates the concept of luxury niche, offering "magnificent, spectacular and eccentric" collections which come from a dreamlike dimension; woman becomes the where diva, dreamed by the male universe.
Francesco Scognamiglio brings on the catwalk passionate and rebellious style, made of very short clothes, transparencies and long dresses with dizzying tears revelling legs or sexy tights.
The bustier jackets and belts emphasize the waist, "total black" knitwear and impalpable ruffled shirts reveals the feminine silhouette with mannish tapered trousers.
