Philosophy

Loewe is a Spanish brand of ready-to-wear, leather goods and accessories for men and women, positioned in the luxury market.

The company is known for its fine leathers such as nappa and suede, which make products as soft as velvet.

Enrique Loewe Roessberg, a leather craftsman of German origin, moved in Spain, began its business in 1846, creating his products for the aristocracy and the bourgeoisie.

Loewe became popular as the Royal Family supplier during the reign of Alfonso XIII.

In the late 30’s the boutique on Gran Via, Madrid, was the center of shopping time, as well as the beating heart of Loewe.

In the 60’s the house expanded the business with new productions of scarves and jewelry, women ready-to-wear and also menswear.

In 1996 Loewe became part of LVMH luxury Group.

Since 2008, the creative director, the British Stuart Vevers, gives his personal touch to Loewe, creating fascinating products, inspired by the 80’s.

The trench coat inspired by "Nine and a half weeks", wrapping dresses, outerwear with fur details, "military style" trousers with gold buttons; the brand focuses on accessories, fine leathers, dresses with the 80’s mood.

"Calle" and "Paloma" are elegant and glamorous handbags, made of alligator and ostrich leather, the "Amazona Lace" has double handles and zip, made of perforated leather and decorated with a pattern of concentric circles.
