Theia is a collection of eveningwear, day dresses and bridal known for ITS elegant and sophisticated look that seeks to bring out every woman's inner goddess.
After studying in Dublin at the Barbara Burke College of Fashion Design and a brief stay in Paris alongside Christian Lacroix in the couture studio, irish designer Don O’Neill decided to move to New York.
Recognizing his immense talents, Don was hired by evening wear designer Carmen Marc Valvo, where he became the Design Director. After ten years with Carmen Marc Valvo, he launched a new bridge evening wear collection for Badgley Mischka – The Badgley Mischka Platinum label – which under his stewardship grew to be enormously successful.
Today, Don serves as the Creative Director for Theia, launched for Fall 2009.
Dedicated to the goddess of light Theia of Greek golden age, the collection is fabricated with the finest Eurpoean brocades, silks and prints and combines sophisticated and elegant evening wear designs with luminous embellishments, couture beading and embroideries.
Each piece is stitched together to create exquisite gowns and cocktail dresses that flow beautifully around the body.
The Theia collection has garnered praise by celebrities around the globe such as Carrie Underwood as well as media including Us Weekly, InStyle.com, Glamour.com; it is available in specialty stores around the globe.
