Philosophy
Petar Petrov is a Vienna-based luxury ready-to-wear brand for men and women characterized by luxury, quality fabrics and excellent craftsmanship, sophisticated and casual at the same time.
The young designer Petar Petrov, born in Ukraine and raised in Bulgaria, moved to Vienna in 1999 in order to study fashion at the University of Applied Arts under Viktor & Rolf and Raf Simons.
During his studies, Petar founded and presented his eponympous label in 2002, focusing on simple, innovative and elegant clothes for men; he slowly expanded his client base around the globe and, in January 2007, he launched his first womenswear collection.
Characterized by an attention to purity and simplicity of form inspired by the typical Viennese modernism and austerity, Petrov’s designs are about contrast, a cultural combination between high and low culture, elegance and street life, male and female lines.
The goal is a modern aesthetic that is easily wearable and yet complex, a clean-lined and easily wearable elegance for clients that want to move around casually while boasting an air of elegance with a relaxed yet forthcoming look.
Besides Europe, his collections are available throughout Japan, United States, and China.
