Ready to Fish is an Amsterdam-based total-look clothing, home design and lifestyle products brand for women whose concept embraces clothing and lifestyle for the contemporary urban woman.
Ilja Visser is a Dutch fashion designer who studied Fashion Design at the ArtEZ Institute of Arts in Arnhem. She acquired the fine skills of tailoring during her apprenticeships with Donna Karan in New York and Maria Cornejo.
In 2005, Ilja founded her own couture label ILJA and, in Amsterdam in 2006, the wear women’s line, Ready to Fish by ILJA was launched: a total concept of fashion, furniture, scents and music.
Mix of unexpected shapes and details, its versatile and wearable designs feature a feminine and innovative aesthetic, exhibited through contemporary, understated silhouettes, details and the carefully selected fabrics, while keeping a close watch on current trends.
Hidden closures and seams, unexpected mix of materials, special treatments and feminine forms make every collection special, ensuring a superb standard of quality.
Each season, a compilation of eclectic music is presented, inspired by and complementary to the fashion line.
Completing the look and atmosphere of the label is an exclusive selection of furniture. Each piece is restructured into unique creations from used pieces, achieving the dream-like fantasy world of the Ready to Fish concept store.
