Philosophy
Ludwig Reiter is a shoes, bags and accessories brand for men and women that blends shoemaking tradition and high quality standards with new interpretations of the traditional shape and style to create classic shoes with modern influences.
Ludwig Reiter’s history goes back all the way to 1884, when Ludwig Reiter I and his wife moved from Bohemian Carlsbad to Vienna, where they opened up a shoemaking workshop; only a few years later, they were already supplying custom made boots and welted shoes to the Austrian imperial security outfit.
Today the family business is run in its fourth generation today and is still based on the production of Goodyear welted shoes in the classical Viennese style.
Throughout the past decades other selected quality products were developed and added to the collection: fur lined boots, loafers, sandals, pumps class, nappa leather baseball sneakers, as well as hand-finished handbags, belts and small leather goods for men and women.
Manufactured in the Süßenbrunn Manorhigh, all Ludwig Reiter's creations are crafted from the finest leathers and hand-stitched finishing to create smart and elegant footwear for all seasons and activities that cater the contemporary and modern requirements of the clients.
