Jean Paul Knott

Philosophy

Jean Paul Knott is a successful brand that features apparel lines both for men and women

After completing a degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York in 1988, the belgian fashion designer became the assistant of Yves Saint Laurent for 11 years designing for 'Rive Gauche' Collection and assisting Monsieur Saint Laurent himself on Haute Couture.

When he came back to Belgium he started his namesake fashion line in 2000, which was a succes in the country and abroad.

Then be became Artistic Director of 'Krizia', and collaborated with Maurice Bejart in designing costumes for his first ballet 'Lumiere'.

Jean Paul Knott designs explore the figure’s proportions by employing interesting shapes and draping and mixing all the codes, as masculine and  feminine, ready-to-wear and couture.

Clothing designs, simple yet inventive, always retain an essence of sophisticated style, an impalpable elegance, that makes his signature look.
