Agi & Sam

Philosophy

Agi&Sam is a London-based label with a fresh, playful approach to men’s clothing founded by Agape Mdumulla and Sam Cotton.

Their strong emphasis on entirely bespoke prints and humour illustrates their mantra that fashion should never be taken too seriously.

While producing print for Alexander McQueen, Karl Lagerfeld and J.W. Anderson, Sam learnt the theory of production, colour and fabric.

Agi trained at a Soho based tailors, before spending a year with Alexander McQueen working alongside the menswear team. At McQueen, he learned primarily the importance of research, and the extent at which creativity can be explored.

The duo met whilst working at Alexander McQueen and founded the label in January 2010.

Gaining experience at these various international fashion houses and British brands, the design duo has been nominated for the Emerging Talent menswear prize at the British Fashion Awards 2012 and in the winter of the same year their debut womens collection launched.

In May 2013, Agi&Sam collaborated with Topman on an exclusive line of suiting and sportswear featuring their signature prints.
