Hachung Lee

Philosophy

Hachung Lee is a Korean total-look unisex clothing brand inspired by an extremely light figure and a thoughtful, understated style with an androgynous aesthetic.

South Korea-based, Hachung Lee founded his namesake label in 2012 after graduating from the London College of Fashion and after have been selected to present his work at Who's Next and Premiere Classe in 2011. Though his studies were centered around menswear, Lee is interested in versatile, unisex dress.

His clean, subdued monochrome looks are not overly complicated in appearance and coax the focus towards exquisite fabrics and intricate construction; layerings, asymmetric lenghts and hems, unconventionally placed darts, small dainty details like pockets of different size on 100% Japanese wool coats and no-lapel jackets and high-collared zipped coat.

Hachung Lee focuses on a subdued color palette and clean silhouette so that each piece is perfectly suited for easy daily wear.

Great care goes into selection of specialty fabrics and hardware, as well as the initial pattern making and inclusion of unique subtle details in each garment.

Keeping an intimate team, Lee has a hand in each step of the design process beginning with the 3D pattern making which he does himself.
