Oscar Tiye is a luxury shoe brand founded by Amina Muaddi with her business partner Irina Curutz in 2013 in Milan.
After a graduation n fashion communication at the european institute of design in Milan, Jordanian born, Amina Muaddi begins her career as fashion assistant and editor for high end magazines like l’Uomo Vogue italy and GQ America.
After a few years as a stylist, divided between Milan and New York, Amina decides to build Oscar Tiye out of the desire to transmit her aesthetics in a more powerful way.
The name of the brand goes back to the middle eastern culture, from which the designer draws inspiration for all of her creations: the logo is a beetle, sacred symbol of the arab world; the two names, a male and a female one, represent a perfect balance, the symbol of a woman who can be at the same time elegant, strong and independent.
Super-chic shoes with a bold and elaborate design, where opulence and minimalism are well balanced, as well as the combination of strong, eclectic colors on delicate and light materials.
The design details, reminiscent of the delicate architecture of the mosques, lead to elaborate mixes and sophisticated patchworks of leathers.
Patterns from carpets, painted glass and ceramics of the byzantine world transform each models in a masterpiece of a slick and uberchic collection including all types of shoes - from flat sandals and pumps to sultry high heels.
Zoe Saldana, Hailee Steinfeld, Heidi Klum, Giovanna Battaglia and american blogger Aimee Song have stepped out in them.
