Philosophy
Ciesse Piumini, founded in the 70’s, is an Italian brand of down jackets and outdoor clothing for men, women and children.
The brand reached a great success during the 80’s and 90’s, being witness of the most important socio-cultural phenomena of those years: the rise of paninari movement, the fame of TV series, movies and disco music.
The legendary brand grew up with strong values: freedom, adventure, authenticity and quality which have always been the main features of Ciesse.
The brand’s values are enclosed in the logo, a ligrone, a cross between Bengal tiger and African Lion, who embodies the double nature of the brand.
In the 80’s the company proposed cutting-edge down jackets made of modern Goretex and vivid colors.
After those glorious years, the company experienced a declining period and after many ownership changes, in 2010 Fremil International Spa, which already owned the skiwear brand West Scout, took over the company.
Ciesse back in the limelight proposing outerwear for those who want to go up the hill and mountains, go climbing or to face the urban adventure, being protected against the cold.
After 30 years and thanks to the relaunching at Pitti 2011, Ciesse is available again in the stores, focusing on solid retail partnerships.
Ciesse has returned to use its high-tech materials, such as 100% waterproof cotton with polymers that was the fabric of the legendary Dakota jacket, the brand must-have for snow.
