Philosophy
Sacai Luck is a japanese total-look womenswear brand, secondary line of the established collection Sacai, characterized by clothes that are entirely unique and timeless, innovative and experimental.
After 8 years of working with the Junya Watanabe collection at Comme des Garçons, designer and founder Chitose Abe founded Sacai in 1999, a collection with a distinctive elegance, based on renderings and transformations of basic and classical items.
The Sacai Luck collection, which was initially introduced as a lingerie collection, in fall of 2006 is diversified and expanded to include loungewear from Spring & Summer 2010.
The brand is characterized by unexpected combinations of materials and its exquisite balance of light and delicate fabrics like tulle, silk and cotton.
Sacai Luck visits the themes of hybridization with classic menswear styles such as the cardigan, V-neck sweater, button down shirt with a relaxed and playful attitude, exploring the idea of masculine styles with subtle femininity brought about through the use of contrasting materials, shapes and colors.
The result is a collection of items that can transition easily between various occasions and not only reserved for special opportunities.
Chitose Abe was honored with the Designer of the Year by the Fashion Editor’s Club of Japan in 2009 and his collections are available in Japan and worldwide.
