Bags by M. is an Italian collection of niche accessories for women, designed by Maria Marigliano Caracciolo.
The designer started her new adventure in the world of fashion, after graduating in law; today Maria lives between Rome and London, but she has always had a passion for Naples, the family hometown.
Her creations draw inspiration by the Neapolitan art and culture, with all its fantasy and savoir-faire.
The sophisticated and colorful Borse Libro, leather clutches which look like old books, are unique and fully customizable.
You can order any classic literature and Maria Caracciolo Marigliano turns it into a unique handbag, unconventional handmade, embellished with gold decorations, printed with the gold leaf technique.
On the back the owner’s name or a dedication is engraved in gold, with the ex libris "Latin formula".
Maria Caracciolo Marigliano advises and guides her customers in the creative processing; from the edition choice, preferably in the original language, to the decorations, Maria interacts personally with customers to better understand their tastes and desires.
Borsa Libro is manufactured by master booksellers of Via San Biagio in Naples, an old bookbinding with centuries of tradition, and it is the result of a great craft production.
Richly bound, they seem real tomes of "Il Gattopardo", "Alice in Wonderland", "The Little Prince" and "Pride and Prejudice"; all the well-known novels turn into glamorous clutches.
The processing, as well as its golden decorations entirely handmade with original bronze punches, is borrowed from the unchanged art of bookbinding; in addition, the brand uses only high quality leathers.
The "Traditional" collection proposes traditional ancient books with classic colors such as black, blue, burgundy, olive green and fire red , while the "Luxury" one offers bags made of two-tone leather or in white parchment and finally the limited edition is made of trendy and high-end French leathers.
An interior silk lining and a velvet case, enrich the bag.
A hidden magnet means the book closes like a real clutch, while the grois-grain tape is purely decorative.
Social networks and media help the brand placement, in fact Bags By M. boasts a famous clientele worldwide, even among celebrities including Chloe and Poppy Delevingne, Laure Peugeot and Columbian actress Nathalie Rapti Gomez.
