Philosophy
The Scottish brand Hancock creates outerwear for men and women, proposing waterproof collections, but absolutely refined.
Initially Thomas Hancock founded a rubber industry in the UK and then he started the production of waterproof garments.
After two generations collections are still handmade in Scotland, proposing luxury coats and shoes made of wool, cashmere, silk, cotton and vulcanized rubber.
Hancock is always one of the most important brand at London Fashion Week, Pitti Uomo in Italy, in Tribeca, New York and Japan.
Tape of rubberized cotton is applied by hand on seams, in order to ensure a completely waterproof garment; furthermore, the glossy rubber bands are applied on cuffs, avoiding that water permeates to the elbow.
The creative duo draw inspirations by Hancock’s studies, applying successfully science to fashion.
In 1819 the company started with first vulcanization experiments and then it obtained the patent for the production of double textured fabrics.
Following this heritage, the Hancock creative duo propose plain designs enriched by waterproof fabrics and modern details.
