Philosophy
The Australian designer Dion Lee proposes women's clothing.
The brand has reached a great success, from catwalks of Australian Fashion Week to those in London.
Tissue development is obtained by a particular process, carried out with the wool, the only material able to follow the sculptural forms of women's silhouette.
The absolutely sartorial creations are designed to emphasize a casual elegance, mixing sportswear cuts and futurist forms.
A new three-dimensional technology, rigorous and vaguely avant-garde, dominates severe cuts, performed by overlaying of leather and fabrics, also mixed with transparent materials, in order to create a nude effect.
Transparency and chiaroscuro come from folds and cuts, which are part of the futuristic and modernist Lee’s art.
Despite of his stylistic severity, Lee says that his creations are comfortable and easy to wear, enhanced by a wonderful game of geometric shapes and technological innovation, allowing the women’s body to move easily.
Longuette or knee-length dresses, suits, dominated by a monochromatic palette of whites and blacks, but also irregular dark blue and orange flashes, nude.
A peculiar characteristic of Dion Lee's collections are “used” tissues, where leather, organza, neoprene, and all rigid fabrics adhere to skin, legs and spine.
