Philosophy
Yiqing Yin is a haute couture clothing brand for women.
Yiqing Yin, moved from China to Paris at the age of four years old, studied at the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
Her clothes are a point of reference for her, a way to live once more in her body, reliving the emotions and sensations already experienced.
Yiqing Yin’s goal is to create a dress that protects and strengthen but, at the same time, a second skin or a soft armor.
Examining the dynamic potential of the folds of her creations, the Chinese fashion designer has never imagined fixed structures, but continuous motion forms, with a constant changing; she looks for break points and elements of balance, an aesthetic inspiration that allow to follow unstructured forms.
Geometric patterns clearly confess the attraction for a completely intuitive creative process; Yiqing Yin, in fact, defines herself as a sensory vagabond, looking for volunteer accidents which characterize her creations.
Her clothes are all monochromatic, ranging from black, red, white, anthracite, shades which highlight ruffles and drapes.
Curvy figures, swallowed up by a pure and spontaneous universe; flaps of fabrics, like rose petals, enrich long dresses, taking on soft, ethereal configurations.
Thanks to her talent and creative force, Yin has also created the costumes for global campaigns for popular brands such as Cartier and Swarovski.
In June 2011, Yiqing Yin received the Andam Prize for her first collection, and she debuted during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, Fall-Winter 2012.
