Philosophy
Ports 1961 is a Canadian brand founded by Luke Tanabe in Toronto in 1961, specializing in ready to wear and luxury accessories for men and women.
The brand reached a great success in 60’s and early 70’s and expands in North America and worldwide.
After Tanabe retiring, Fiona Cibani became the creative director of the brand and in 2004 her sister Tia took over the brand.
Plain, refined and geometric designs are the main features of Ports 1961; monochromatic colours play with light shades.
Very elegant and minimal Look: above the knee dresses are mixed with large and unstructured coats, straight cut trousers both for her and him, double-breasted blazers, stretch shirts, men's suits and trench coats matched with shorts.
Favourite shades are grey, black and white, but also bright colours such as coral, red, yellow and green.
