Timex is an American brand of table or wall watches, affordable and reliable, which are based on a simple design and mechanisms, produced in large scale.
The brand, established in 1850, produces innovative and technologically advanced watches, especially suitable for those who practice sports, such as run , cycling, swimming and triathlon, no surprisingly Timex offers a wide assortment of tools for training.
In 2012, Timex has enriched its collection of tools for runners with the GPS but also heart rate monitor, depth gauge and pressure altimeter.
The brand, as known as the " American Switzerland" for its perfect mechanisms and the attention to detail, produces watches according the latest technological innovations, such as chronographs, quartz and aluminum watches.
With the “Intelligent Quartz ™” technology, a revolutionary movement, digital sensors and microprocessors allow the clock to display a wide range of information; the three additional independent hands display, in an elegant way, several information produced by these new quartz applications.
Nowadays, the Timex group, incorporates several companies: " Business Unit Timex ", that produces Timex, Timex Ironman, Open, Nautica and Marc Ecko, "Timex Group Luxury Watches" producer for the brand Salvatore Ferragamo, "Sequel", licensee for Guess, and finally “Vertime” licensee for Versace and Versus.
In the 80’s and 90’s Timex became a real must-have: the electroluminescent dial "Indiglo" system, allowed to read numbers with greater clarity, especially in the dark places.
Today Timex 80 continues to resubmit its series of vintage-style clocks, worn at the wrists of celebrities, fashion addicts and lover of this cult object.
