Philosophy
Brooks Brothers is an American brand of clothing and accessories, created by the Brooks brothers in 1818, known for high quality clothes, refined taste and respect for traditional tailoring.
The brand emerged in ready-to-wear, with a particular focus on tailoring shirts; then it presented sportswear total looks for men and women.
The core business is the shirt, presented by Brook Brothers at the beginning of 900 in the United States; a new collections of button-down shirts inspired by the English polo players.
In a short time the "button-down" became part of the common wear, turning into the brand’s main product.
After the II World War, the brand started to create ties, madras shirts, Harris Tweed from Scotland, Shetland wool sweaters and blazers with mother of pearl buttons, as well as the high belt.
Later the American brand started to produce ready-to-wear for women, starting with button-down pink shirts.
In the 2000 the Brook Brothers start a real company makeover, renewing the brand’s image, starting a new the positive trend; this gives life to a new high-end collection, focusing both on the original and updated appeal of Brooks Brothers.
