Stone Island

Philosophy

Stone Island was founded in 1982; the brand offers trendy sportswear and it emphasizes innovation, functionality and contemporary fashion.

The logo is the wind rose that originates from a dye test performed on truck tarpaulin; the brand’s research begins here, looking for originality in fabrics and designs.

The brand uses manufacturing techniques which has never used before in sportswear, borrowed from areas away from fashion.

Coats, sweaters, shirts, trousers, accessories, denim; bold colours feature on garments which vaguely remember a military style.

Materials originate from aircraft technology and water filtration, including ultra-light rayon mixed with a film of stainless steel, Kevlar and polyester felt, reflective and heat-sensitive fabrics.
