Ballantyne

Philosophy

Ballantyne is a prestigious brand, well-known worldwide for its cashmere knitwear, produced by the homonymous Scottish company based in Innerleithen and founded in 1921 by Henry Ballantyne.

The success of Ballantyne is due to the use of the best yarns and to the traditional manufacturing, looking for the finest soft and warm cashmere, produced in the farms of China and Mongolia.

All garments are handmade, according to the Ballantyne centenary experience and a complex process; its creations are unique and reveal an impeccable and timeless British taste.

The brand proposes cashmere garments, the core product, with its typical diamond pattern, jackets and coats, trousers and skirts, available in fifty exclusive colours, another hallmark of the brand.

The new Ballantyne cashmere pullovers are light and soft with flowery and geometrical patterns; these traditional garments complete the clothing collection, reinterpreting the traditional yarns, as Shetland and Hharry 's tweed, with a natural finish, so to get a new and unique softness.

The Ballantyne’s cashmere garments have been worn  by the international jet-set such as the Queen Elizabeth, Steve McQueen, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

Ballantyne is a real icon of cashmere with a well-known British heritage; since Alfredo Canessa has been nominated Chairman of the company, Ballantyne has also an Italian twist.
