Philosophy
The eccentric fashion designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac was born in Casablanca, Morocco, and later moved to France.
Castelbajac’s excessive, brilliant and irreverent style is marked by the unusual mix of creativity and fashion.
The brand was founded in the early 70's and since its first show, it has been obvious the designer's love for all forms of art, from classic up to Dadaism and pop, with a foray into the world of photography and the wonderful world of comics, whose characters are often embroidered or printed on garments.
His style is ironic, fun and conceptual, but also very sporty, so that he prefers natural materials and iconic themes related to the world of sport.
The irony and humor of Castelbajac collections react to a more and more prim fashion, too snobbish and elitist.
