Philosophy
The Hill-Side was founded in Brooklyn, New York, by Emil and Sandy Corsillo; the designers’ aim is to play down and lighten the iconic male accessories: the tie and jacket pochette.
These male accessories are synonymous with a serious attitude, usually reserved for formal occasions.
The New York label makes fun of them, using unusual materials for ties, male pochettes and scarves such as Cambrai canvas, denim, waxed canvas, muslin or hemp.
The handmade ties, as all the other accessories, have a square base, contrasting the formal ones; this make The Hill-Side accessories the real strength point of an unusual outfit.
