Sergio improves the production and refines his personal style, moving to Milan and Bologna to complete his training.
During ‘60’s, the age of “Dolce Vita”, Italy is the country of art, modern design and ready-to-wear, Sergio Rossi meets Gianni Versace and they share their personal idea of fashion.
In those years were born the legendary “Opaca” sandals, which follow the foot with its bold line, and the first plain and round point Sergio Rossi pairs of shoes.
In the ‘70’s the lucky partnership with Gianni Versace starts, the brand Sergio Rossi presents its creations in Milan’s haute couture catwalks, it plays the feminine tastes and anticipates new trends: the designer from Emilia Romagna conquers the international fame and, for the first time, footwear has a leading role in fashion.
The brand continues its rise proposing a modern and feminine woman who is conscious of her appeal, she wears beautiful and comfortable shoes, being at the top all day long.
Between 80’s and 90’s the designers interprets a sensual and strong style for his creations; he highlights high heels, minimum 7 cm, which make feminine shapes thinner, giving to the leg a new length and energy.
Today the company is in the luxury industry, it belongs to the Gucci group and its creative director is Edmundo Castillo.
Among tradition, hand-made in Italy and high-tech, the brand produces luxury accessories for men and women.
