Altuzarra Woman stores

Philosophy

Altuzarra is a young brand of womenswear.

Joseph Altuzarra, the founder, was born and grown up in Paris; after Arts studies in Philadelphia he starts his first work trainings at Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler and then he collaborated with Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy in Paris.

His creations are an eclectic mix of his artistic experiences and they reflect his European training, typical New York avant-garde with a “couture attention” to details.

Altuzarra collections are full of material and cut games, characterized by asymmetrical weightlight dresses, irregular collars, futuristic sleeves, plain or made by different fabrics, short or long blazers, knee-length or miniskirts, waxed leather trousers, amazing high waisted silt skirts worn with sweaters or waist blazers, tight shirts and furs.

Colour palette is pretty basic, preferring shiny or mat black and white, but there are also yellow brush strokes, green and brick red.

The brand responds to details research, for example the constant fabric changes in the same outfit, a plain outfit made unusual thanks by irregular cuts.

Altuzarra reflects an expectable and very feminine elegance, playing with shapes and silhouettes.
