Coclico is a modern sustainable and colorful shoes brand for women conceived in New York City and handcrafted in Spain that blends modern minimalism and traditional quality.
French creative Sandra Cansalier is born into a three generation family of shoemakers; in 2000 she left home for NYC where she started creating her own collection of shoes and boots.
The designer never forgot her roots: as a tribute to her family, she takes a traditional European approach to shoe-making focused on craftsmanship and durability.
Developed with fine Italian supple leathers and suede, the fresh and contemporary shoes ranges from classic wedge sandals with soft-braided rope ankle straps to fringed peep-toe pumps, clogs, boots, flats with classic styles.
Each collection is characterized by clean lines, a neutral palette and subtle beauty in architectural silhouettes, all handmade using recycled and renewable components such as cork, leather and natural woods in in a small, historic factory in Mallorca, Spain.
The design process behind each collection follows the highest standards of ethical and environmental responsibility: Coclico was recognized for its dedication to sustainable fashion as the winner of the 2013 Source Award in the footwear category for investing in international renewable energy projects.
