Philosophy
Betsey Johnson is an American designer; she was born in 1942, and she is known for her irreverent, funny and exuberant conception of fashion.
After various collaborations, she debut with her own brand in 1978, giving space to her creativity
The designer, also popular for the dance moves at the end of each show, designs apparel, but also accessories, shoes and bags, characterized by the use of feminine wheel skirts, cutesy fabrics and bright colours which reflect the funny Johnson.
Johnson's fashion is inspired by a teenage verve and a great love for dancing; in fact some of her creations look like the 80’s disco garments.
Today, the designer is assisted in her work by her daughter Lulu and niece Layla.
